Grand Visioning & Open House Celebration

  • Alice Fields Community For Black Women, Girls And Marginalized Genders 925 East 163rd Street The Bronx, NY, 10459 United States (map)

Join Black Feminist Project & Mama Tanya’s Kitchen

for an evening of celebration & imagination as we move into our new space.

After two years in a temporary location, the Alice Fields Community Center is settling into it’s long term location. Nestled in a bustling residential area, surrounded by schools, Community Based Organizations and community gardens at the foot of the 2/5 train station and a short walk from the local 6, the AFCC is ready to become a part of the Longwood/Hunts Point landscape.

With more space and an engaged community we’ve got some dope ideas but more importantly we want to be informed by YOU! What new programming do you want to see? How can you get involved? What do you envision this space looking like?

We’re going to celebrate the upcoming year. We are going to envision what a decolonized community space looks like? We’ll redefine mutual aid. And Executive Director, Tanya Denise Fields will introduce you to our newest venture: Cardamom & Thyme Social Justice Cafe.

There will be food, music and four $50 dollar raffles!

Let’s steward in this new year and BFP milestone with community, radical joy and revolutionary imagination.

We look forward to seeing and building with you.
