Board Member (She/Her)

Janae is a Bronx-bred "Village Builder". Janae has traveled the world for the past 15 years, tasting local food, experiencing the culture, and creating memories with family and friends. She has spent 12+ years working in community development programs in the South Bronx. She has a Master’s of Social Work Degree with a Concentration in International and Community Development from Monmouth University. 

She owns and operates New Hype Travel to combine her experiences, formal education, and love of travel. She believes that traveling and experiencing new things together helps strengthen relationships and teaches us new and exciting ways. This mother of two is passionately dedicated to advocating for the rights and empowerment of Black Mothers and girls.
